Drucktech has developed a prototype for a new carousel-like heat press for caps.
The CCP 4/2 is made up of two separate work plates and two heated plates. After the first two caps are put on the work plates they can be turned under the heated plates and so on. No special settings are needed for different jobs, making the machine economical, said the company.
A prototype has been extensively tested and a video made which can be seen at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJw6cnVabnA. It can also be sent to those who are interested.
Depending on the operator, about 300-400 pcs/h are possible, claimed Drucktech.
The machine is suitable for ironing on any type of cap, other small things, bags or beach balls.
A new design has also been developed for the SSH1 plates, which from now on will be delivered as the Plate with the Perfect Curve design.
"With the SSH1, we tried to make a heat-press that is suitable for any kind of cap," explained the company. "We had found caps with sewing in the middle, which were very hard and did not fit on the plate while transferring.
"However, we found the solution, which was to incorporate a valve which doesn't let all of the air out from the table, so it stays curved.
The cap lies on the table so well that fixing seems to be unnecessary as well."
