With over 4,000 visitors last year and a 14% increase in visitors over the last four years, the Printwear & Promotion Exhibition has well and truly secured its status as the definitive three-day event for the garment decoration industry.
And with the list of confirmed exhibitors growing by the day, together with several new and exciting developments in the pipeline, the 2009 show is shaping up to be just as successful and vibrant as last year - promising to deliver the latest in garment, machinery and software technology as well as being a fantastic networking event.
The organisers wasted no time in taking the success of last year's exhibition forward for the 2009 show, which will again take place at Birmingham's NEC. Extensive visitor and exhibitor surveys were carried out immediately after the event to help ensure it is catering to as many needs as possible, and feedback from these has been taken on board ready for 2009.
There were several new additions for 2008, which will be carried through to 2009 and built upon. These include the educational seminars, which proved to be hugely popular, attracting hundreds of visitors during the three days. Topics ranged from making the most of your embroidery software to growing a business with heat printing.
Robin Bull from Target Transfers, which helped co-ordinate the ‘Growing a business with heat printing' seminar by Mel Meibers, said feedback from the seminar was very positive. "Visitors were mostly new to the industry and found the content extremely helpful," he said.
"One visitor said the seminar was the only source of genuine information on heat printing they could find."
He added: "Others told me that they revisited the seminar to make notes as they had found the presentation so helpful!"
The seminar suite is to be expanded for 2009 and many companies have already requested a slot based on the success of the seminars in 2008. Details on the speakers and topics to be covered will follow in the coming months.
Of course, the exhibition wouldn't be complete without the professionally choreographed fashion shows, which will also be making a return for 2009.
Confirmed exhibitors to date include Ralawise, TheMagicTouch, BTC Activewear and Wilcom Europe, to name but a few. There wil also be some new names for 2009 so watch this space for regular updates.
