2005 sees the introduction of MEGZ into the UK promotional market, a range of sportswear that has been developed with experience of professional manufacture. Printwear & Promotion learnt more.
Bursting onto the scene this year is an exciting new range of sports and leisurewear called MEGZ.
MEGZ recently used the Printwear and Promotion show for its official UK launch in February and received a fantastic response to their range from those many people visiting their stand.
The development of MEGZ came about as a result of the contracts received by the parent company in the far east from Brand leaders purchasing football shirts and training wear for popular professional football clubs. The idea then arose to bring this level of quality garment into the UK as a stock range for general sale.
Such was the initial demand that the a decision was made very quickly to broaden the range available from stock significantly so that it included not only football kits and training wear, but also leisurewear and ancillary items such as bags and footballs.
MEGZ clothing offers all the benefits of the latest technical fabrics, coupled to a large stock house provision from Leeds, West Yorkshire. Bespoke orders can be taken, but the essence of MEGZ is availability of goods from stock.
The MEGZ range consists of a variety of football kits in a wide choice of styles and colours, and includes garments such as windcheater tops, tracksuits and manager jackets. A range of sweatshirts and hoodys are also offered, some garments are offered in specific children's styles and come in a range of colours and sizes.
A small number of distributors have already been found and such has been the demand from the show that an additional 40,000 football kits and 100,000 polo shirts have been ordered for the summer. Most of the other garments in the range have had their production capacity doubled in order to supply anticipated demand.
In response to requests, the Company also have brought into the UK (they are also launching in Australia this summer) some standard high quality work/leisurewear polos sweats and fleeces which again have gone down exceptionally well with existing customers. There is also plans to offer a new range of Golf polos in the summer under a separate catalogue.
The Yorkshire based company - which prides itself on offering a personal service to its customers - is run by Mike and Janine Hegarty with Chris Pickles as the UK Sales Manager.
Chris, who has 20 years of experience in the industry, regards the range and quality as 'The best he's seen and is continually excited at the response he continually get from anyone who actually sees our products.'
With customer service fully in mind, MEGZ has also appointed Matthew Arundle as Logistics and Distribution Manager in order to ensure maximum efficiency of supply. Emily Pickles has also recently joined the team to ensure that the administration and communications arm of the range retains some family values as well as being completely professional.
