Edun Live has launched its first ever consumer based site in an effort to reach a younger audience for its ethical, 100% Made In Africa blank T-shirts.
Edun Live was launched as a B2B business in 2007 to market T-shirts for promotional and merchandising purposes. It is the sister brand of Edun, the socially conscious clothing label founded in 2005 by Ali Hewson and her husband Bono.
The new revamped site not only highlights the importance of supporting the growth of the African apparel industry, but also conveys a side of Africa that is modern and sexy, said the company.
Edun CEO Christian Kemp-Griffin said: "Africa is a magical and exciting place with so much positive energy. By having this new site, we now look forward to interacting with consumers in addition to businesses and having them share in our passion."
Site features include: Made In Africa, featuring ‘slice-of-life' videos; What's New, with information on African-related events, culture and news; The Online Store, which allows both consumers and wholesalers the ability to purchase Edun Live tees; and ‘Radio Africa' Media Player, playing the sounds of Africa.
The Edun Live range includes men's, women's, unisex, kids' and infants' styles, all in 100% organic cotton. New colours and styles are on the horizon, including nine new colour choices, v-necks and long-sleeved tees, hoodies and tote bags. All will be available in 100% organic fabric and can be made to order as long as minimum quantities are met.
Edun Live's mission is to drive sustainable employment in sub-Saharan Africa through high-volume sales of blank t- shirts. From the sourcing of the African cotton to the spinning and knitting process, all the way to the manufacturer, the T-shirts are 100% African.
