As of May 15, 2008, American Apparel employed over 8,000 people and operated over 185 retail stores in 15 countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Israel, Australia, Japan and South Korea. The Organic Shirts

American Apparel's Organics family is made with the softest 100% USDA Certified Organic Cotton. The 15 styles address the environmental crisis caused by the use of pesticides during the cotton cultivation process. Our newest colors are Black, Cinder, Dijon, Galaxy, Natural, White, Ultraviolet and Pomegranate. Styles offered in these colors: 2001ORG Unisex Organic Fine Jersey T, 2102 Women's Organic Fine Jersey T, 2201ORG Youth Organic Fine Jersey T and 2105ORG Toddler Organic Fine Jersey T.  The other 11 organic styles are offered in our natural color.

The Tri-Blend Shirts

We recently introduced the first piece of our Tri-Blend collection. Due to overwhelming response, we now offer several styles in this innovative fabric. By combining the comfort of cotton, the resiliency of polyester and the superb draping potential of rayon, we've successfully duplicated the exceptional softness and feel of the highly sought after vintage T-shirt. The Tri-Blend family is made up of the softest 50/25/25 Poly/Cotton/Rayon fabric. It offers superior screen printing results. Styles include: TR401 Unisex Track T, TR301 Women's Track T, TR456 Deep V-Neck, TR408 Unisex Tank, TR308 Women's Racerback Tank, and TR480 Unisex Scrimmage Shirt. The most recent additions include: BR394 Women's Lightweight Raglan Pullover, TR201 Youth Track T, and TR101 Kids Track T. Exciting new colors were also added to the Tri-Blend family: Athletic Blue, Tri-Indigo, Tri-Evergreen, Athletic Grey and Tri-Orchid.

The 50/50 Shirts

Another fabric recently launched is the 50/50 Poly-Cotton family. Finer than combed-cotton yarn, this ultra-comfortable fabric features remarkable recovery even after repeated washings. Slightly more opaque than our sheer jersey yet still lightweight, these shirts offer a versatile surface perfect for any screen printing and embellishment. 50/50 Poly-Cotton styles include: BB401 Unisex Poly-Cotton Crew Neck and BB301 Women's Poly-Cotton Crew Neck.

The Flex Fleece Hoodies

Flex Fleece is made of 50/50 Poly/Cotton and has a softness that rivals ultra-soft vintage fleece. Styles include F497 Unisex Flex Fleece Zip Hoody and MT497 Unisex Salt and Pepper Zip Hoody. American Apparel recently introduced a new kids style, F197 Kids Flex Fleece Zip Hoody.

The Acid Wash Shirts

We also recently introduced two styles in Acid Wash Jersey.  The 6456 Unisex Acid Wash Jersey Deep V-Neck Summer T and 6401 Unisex Acid Wash Summer T. The fabric is comfortable and soft and offers superior screen printing results.

The Summer Shirts

Made from our extra-soft sheer jersey, these three lightweight styles are now among our most popular pieces. Pre-shrunk and laundered, our 100 percent cotton sheer jersey is combed for softness and comfort. Comprised of loosely knit 40-singles yarn, this fabric has both subtle stretch and delicate texture. Now in 14 colors for more options that ever before. Styles available: 6401 Unisex Summer Shirt, 6301 Women's Summer T, and the hugely popular 6456 Deep V-Neck.
