Offering a top level service for embroidery equipment and digital garment printers
Published:  25 July, 2008

Established in 1961 J & B Sewing Machine Company are one of the UK's leading suppliers of Brother Embroidery machines and Brother and Anajet digital garment printers.

Embroidery

The specialist embroidery and software division within the company was set up to handle the increasing demand for these products.

As the largest supplier of Brother PR600/620 embroidery machines in the UK, J & B offer a wealth of expertise and experience to ensure their customers gain the maximum benefit from their purchases. With larger machines available from a wide range of manufacturers, J & B can meet all your requirements.

When J & B supply an embroidery machine, they deliver it to their customer, install it and train the operator in the usage. A one year on-site warranty ensures that their clients can be fully confident that they will have full support and back-up.

Software

J & B's partnership with Wings Systems® of Greece means they are now able to offer the exciting range of embroidery software from this highly rated software house. Corel DRAWings X3®, DRAWings 4® and Wings Modular® are top quality products aimed at the industrial market. Creative DRAWings is the fastest growing embroidery software for the consumer and small business market and J & B were delighted when they were appointed in 2007 as sole distributor for the whole of Europe.

These high specification products bring the skills of design and digitizing within reach of everybody.

In their classroom at Newport in South Wales, J & B offer free training to every purchaser of any of the Wings products.

Digital Garment Printing

In 2004 Brother Industries of Japan appointed J & B Sewing Machines as their sole distributor of industrial sewing machines in the United Kingdom. This followed on from the extremely successful business relationship that the two companies had enjoyed for over 20 years prior to the appointment.

When Brother developed their digital garment printer, the Brother GT-541, they appointed J & B as their distributor throughout the UK. Recognising J & B's technical expertise, the Brother Company have built upon the strategic partnership that already exists between the two companies.

Printing a t-shirt is as easy as printing a letter or document. Almost any image can be set up and reproduced in seconds and then should the customer require extra prints it is just as easy to produce extra garments. There are no set up and breakdown costs, just quick and easy printing.

This new industry is taking over from the traditional screen printing industry, allowing production quantities as low as a single garment or in the hundreds.

No job needs to be too big or too small and this new technology is really changing the way the after-manufacture printing market operates.

As recently as April 2008, J & B were invited by AnaJet of the USA to distribute the AnaJet Garment Printer in the UK. This machine differs from the Brother in that it will allow prints on dark garments as well as white and pastel shades. The AnaJet FP-125 is a printer designed from the floor up as a garment printer and is not just a converted Epson model. AnaJet developed their printer to cope with the difficulties presented by white ink, and J & B believe that their printer is the best product of this type in the marketplace.

This appointment means that J & B are now probably the only company that can offer a choice of garment printers from different manufacturers, thereby ensuring that their customers can make an informed choice when deciding which machine best suits their requirements.

With demand rapidly growing for decorated garments, from clubs and teams to fun weekends and souvenirs the market place for these products is predicted to reach 10 million units per annum in the UK by 2010. The profit potential from this industry is massive with shirts that cost under £3 after printing selling for up to £10.

As with the embroidery machines, J & B not only deliver the printers to you but installs them and gives full training in their use. A one year on-site warranty guarantees that in the unlikely event of having a problem, one of J & B's team will soon sort the problem.

J & B carry large stocks of inks, consumables and spares for both printers ready to service your production requirements with overnight delivery on all items.

Our Philosophy

It is the aim of J & B to ensure that their customers are given the best assistance and choice when making their purchases, a reliable supply and delivery service and a first class after sales service. The sale process does not end at the point of delivery but is merely the start of a long and enduring business relationship.
