Teamwear and performance wear are the biggest areas of growth in 2008 with the introduction of the Kariban Sport brand, and a huge increase of styles to existing sports and teamwear brands Finden+Hales, Tombo, and Kustom Kit Gamegear.

Menswear is becoming more fashion conscious, however, comfort and fit are still key to buying decisions, says the distributor, whereas with womenswear style is probably key to the decision making process.

Tombo Teamwear's semi fitted TL63 Wicking Sport T Shirt is made up of 100% polyester IQ fabric, which has moisture control properties with mesh panelling at front and back side panels, underarms and at top centre back panel for extra breathability. Sizes available are S-XXL and there is a choice of five contrasting colourways.

Kariban Sport's KS03 Men's Performance Zip Neck Polo consists of 100% polyester Cool Plus, an innovative cooling technology fabric. Six contrasting colourways are available in sizes S-XXL. 

Finden+Hales has increased the range of teamwear styles available and has introduced the LV840 Contrast Track Top in microfibre 230T peach finish woven with mesh lining. This top has a funnel neck collar, elasticated toggles on hem and an MP3 chest pocket. There are four teamwear contrasting colourways, including Black/Red/White, and sizes range from S-XXL.

Another huge area of growth for 2008 has been hoodies. As well as new brands and styles, existing brands have increased the amount of colours available. New brand Just Hoods by AWDis introduced the JH001 Hoodie, 80% cotton 20% polyester in 30 colours with an additional six new colours mid year, including Military Green and Orange Crush.  This hoodie has a double fabric hood with self coloured cords and a kangaroo pouch pocket.  Gildan has added to its range with the GD58 Heavyweight Blend Adult Full Zip Hooded Sweatshirt in 50% cotton 50% polyester fleece, made from air jet spun yarn for a softer feel and no pill. It has a YKK metal covered zip for full chest printing.

Men's formalwear continues to be an area of growth. Russell Collection has introduced a new fabric, Tencel Lyocell, which consists of built-in moisture management and a natural skin cooling effect. The Tencel Lyocell fabric is available in eight new styles including the 954M Men's Long Sleeve Tencel Fitted Shirt in collar sizes 14.5" to 19.5" and colours Black, Chocolate, Navy and White.  This shirt has a slim fit with side seam shaping and back darts, and a stiffened semi cut away boned collar with a double button stand. There is a stitched down box pleats on the back of the sleeves and a double button mitred edge cuff.

Men's workwear is a smaller, yet more specialised range of garments in the Brochure Collection and continues to sell well for Prestige.

New for 2008 is the RTY100 Professional Workwear Jacket with 100% 300D polyester oxford PVC coated waterproof outer and 100% polyester lining.
