John Greenway MP announced the launch of the BPMA Academy to attendees of a recent reception at the House of Commons, organised by the National Incentive Show (NIS) and Print for Business Exhibition.
The Academy is the first official qualification for the promotional merchandise industry. It has been designed to help address the industry's need for staff to have a sound knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the market.
The event also provided a platform to update the industry on the 2008 NIS plans, as well as acting as a forum for NIS and Print for Business exhibitors to network.
Industry entrepreneur Calypso Rose, founder of Clippykit and 2007 Entrepreneur of the Industry spoke at the event, as did David Jones Touchstone Exhibitions Chairman, who promised following the success of the National Incentive Show 2007 to raise the bar further for the 2008 and future National Incentive Shows. The host John Greenway MP spoke of the unique power of exhibitions in delivering new and innovative ideas.
