Organic and Fairtrade ranges are becoming standard in retail outlets and this trend is expected to reflect in the printwear and promotion industry with many customers looking for an ethical option, says Prestige.

It says customer understanding of organic and Fairtrade terms is definitely on the increase with many magazines and publications issuing information and glossaries of terms and jargon. "Public awareness of environmental issues on the whole is also on the increase, which can only impact peoples buying decisions and what they want to wear. It is becoming fashionable to be organic!" it says.

Okarma's 100% certified organic clothing collection has been increased for 2008 and includes a new style for children, the OK10B Children's 100% Organic Cotton Tee which is 100% certified GOTS and control union organic combed cotton, single jersey. Mantis has added the MA104T Organic Men's Jersey Box Tee to its range for 2008.  Made from 100% organic ring spun combed cotton this tee is available in sizes S-XL and a choice of four colours.

Also from Mantis, the Babybugz BZ10T Organic Baby Short Sleeved Bodysuit is made from 100% Organic ring spun combed cotton and comes in Organic Natural and sizes 0/3 to 12/18 months.  With an envelope neck for easy access and YKK nickel free snap poppers to close at bottom.

Prestige has 13 Fairtrade styles from Wombat in the 2008 collection. New for 2008 is the WB168 Girls Pinjarra Top, 100% Fairtrade certified cotton, single jersey. This top has half sleeves, side pockets and a rouched bottom hem. It is available in sizes S-L and colours blue diamond and mocha.

The WB310 Men's Hervey Hoodie is also 100% Fairtrade certified cotton, heavy jersey. This is a placket hoodie with concealed button fastening and contrast zigzag stitching. Sizes are S-XL with two colours: navy and pebble.
