Tullis Russell, a specialist in the papermaking and coating industry, has launched Texitran ECO, a revolutionary new eco-friendly paper, to its trutextile range.
Texitran ECO is a new environmentally friendly transfer paper that has a unique, metal-free coating enabling high quality decoration and trouble free printing, says Tullis Russell. "For the first time it means that designers and manufacturers can choose an environmentally friendly alternative without compromising on the quality of their design," it said.
Texitran ECO can be used for offset litho printing as well as screen printing and is compatible with most ink types including water based inks. Transfers can be applied to traditional cotton and synthetic materials and its environmentally friendly credentials make it well suited for children's and babywear, says the company.
A low temperature release also makes it ideal for more difficult substrates, such as workwear or sportswear, it adds.
"The launch of Texitran ECO will come as welcome news for those brand owners and printers who are looking for ways to improve their eco credentials, as well as the growing number of customers who insist on buying only the greenest products."
Tullis Russell Coaters is part of the Tullis Russell Group. The Group has an extensive product range including ceramic, textile transfer papers and security papers and has customers in more than 120 countries worldwide.
