Cricket sweaters in bespoke team colours have become hugely popular, according to Balmoral Knitwear.
"Plain cricket sweaters or bog-standard colourways like Bottle-Gold-Bottle are all very well," says md Mike Carden, "but if you want a team to stand out from the crowd, the thing to do is have a team's very own colourways in the stripes."
Balmoral has access to around 1,000 different shades from its yarn spinner, and can make a minimum of just six sweaters. This means Balmoral - as well as supplying some national names in the cricket world - can also supply embroiderers for their local clubs.
The cricket sweaters can be made in 100% Acrylic, Teflon-treated 50% Merino Wool 50% Acrylic, or the soft, pure New Merino Wool, giving a range of price points.
Embroiderers also often offer the Papini Elite range of polo shirts alongside the cricket sweaters, says Carden. "For example, the Papini Elite ‘Sorrento' polo shirt is a stock item in Sky Blue with Navy and White trim. It's just one of a dozen different multi-coloured polos that can fit with a team's colours, and without a minimum order quantity."
