By all accounts, the 2008 Printwear & Promotion Exhibition was a good place to do business. Most of the exhibitors I spoke to during the three days felt that the quality of enquiries was particularly high and many had taken orders to the tune of thousands of pounds. In total we had over 4,000 visitors through the doors, which is on a par with last year, and over 80 exhibitors. Compared to many other trade shows at the moment, which certainly can't boast such visitor numbers, that is a very impressive figure. What's more, 77% of those had not visited the show in the previous year, making them potential valuable new customers.
Also particularly encouraging was the uptake of the seminars, which were full each day, confirming our decision to introduce them to the event. This is an area we are already looking to grow for next year. Once again, the team would like to thank all the exhibitors and visitors for making the entire event such a success.
As many of you will know, the exhibition also coincided with the newly launched Printwear & Promotion Excellence Awards, held on the Monday night, which on the whole were very well received. We have, however, taken on board the comments from those who attended, with a view to improve and build on the event and the awards themselves for next year. But, as ever, we can't do this without the industry's support, so we welcome any comments you may have and will be out and about in the coming months to clarify views and opinions on next year's format.
