Schoolwear and workwear specialist Blue Max Stag has launched a new system that tracks stock from the moment it enters the warehouse, to the time it is despatched.
The new integrated warehoue system uses hand held radio controlled bar scanners, meaning the company can track any stock item at the touch of a button. This minimises picking errors, reduces stock discrepancies and improves fulfilment efficiency.
"Customer service is at the heart of everything we do here at Blue Max Stag," said Commercial Director Chris Whitby. "Our new warehouse management system means we are delivering accurate, efficient orders and returns."
Improvements at the warehouse are just part of an ongoing systems overhaul for Blue Max Stag, which switched to new accounting software, Access Dimensions in January 2008.
Access Dimensions uses an accounting platform that allows simple integration of ancillary software, so the company can grow its range of applications more easily - be it Web development, including online ordering, or Customer Relationship Management.
Whitby added: "As a forward-looking provider of schoolwear, workwear and leisurewear, Blue Max Stag is embracing new technologies and continuously seeking to lead the way in improving customer service."
