De Montford University's TEAMnet (Textile Engineering & Materials Network) is running a free event to help local textile businesses combat everyday industry problems.
TEAMnet works with enterprises that make or supply textiles and related equipment to provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to attract new customers.
The workshop, which takes place from 9am to 1pm on March 11, focuses on Regulatory Affairs and Finances. Specialist speakers will also highlight issues such as European safety standard CE marking, protecting intellectual property, and reducing environmental impact within companies. Delegates will also have the opportunity to ask questions about specific problems.
"This event is a great opportunity for local businesses to find out more about available support," said Ann Palmer, Research Fellow for TEAMnet. "It allows them to engage with experts in their industry who may be able to help them with any problems they may be facing."
The event takes place at the Cropston Visitor Centre, Leicestershire. To book a place, call 01162 078575 or email smartex@dmu.ac.uk
