OYO Instruments showcased its new direct to screen system - Diablo, which can image a screen in less than two minutes.
The Diablo is the fastest and most flexible direct to screen system on the market, said Mark Evans.
Using a thermal transfer process, which eliminates the use of film, ink, toner and chemicals it can apply an image mask to conventionally coated screens in less than two minutes per frame, at up to 1200dpi resolution.
It can also image OYO's pre-coated thermal mesh material, thus eliminating the need to coat, dry, expose and wash screens.
Images are precisely aligned on screen, which further reduces press set up time, said Evans.
"The image quality is also improved, because you are getting a first generation image," he added, "and because it's a dry process the dot quality is really clear."
