New brand Oro Toro launched four styles at the show, showcasing the brand's focus on a fashion-inspired colour range across a select number of carefully designed styles.
The range includes men's and women's T-shirts and hoodies, all of which are azo-free, reactive dyed, 100% Soil Association certified organic. They are also made with Indian cotton that is fully traceable back to source, in factories which are FLO certified and use renewable energy. But the company is unusually reluctant to flag up these ethical and green credentials. "We're not shouting about it. We just want to let the products speak for themselves," said Oro Toro's Tom Watson.
He added: "The reaction at the show has been fantastic. Everyone has said it's different from what else is available on the market in terms of quality and colours. It's more of a retail garment than a promotional one."
The company is selling direct and holds high levels of stock in its Hastings-based warehouse.
