Doro Tape has expanded its portfolio with the addition of new films for the plotter cutter, as well as new printable materials for use with Solvent and Eco Solvent Printers.
Printa Flex Clear was developed to eliminate the white border often visible on garments without printing right up to the cut path of the design, which can cause a frustrating edge curl back, said Doro Tape.
For use on light coloured or white garments only the new material is printed in reverse and then flipped over before pressing. "The result is a motif that is so close to a screen print that it has fooled many an experienced eye," said the company.
For dark coloured garments it has introduced Printa Flex Dark, which it says produces brilliant colour reproduction, and the special effect Printa Flex Dark Metallic, which enables eye-catching designs to be produced with a metallic sheen. All are suitable for use on 100% cotton and mixed fibres, and give a high quality, colour brilliant image, washable up to 40 degrees C.
In the Urban Flock Range four attention-grabbing designs have been added: Lizard, Leopard, Snake and Camouflage. This microfibre material is a cross between a flex and a flock and is easy to cut and weed using a standard vinyl blade, said Doro Tape, and once heat pressed, gives a very soft finish. It is also suitable for all cotton and polyester mixes, and washable up to 40 degrees C.
