Urban clothing: a growth sector

Urban Lifestyle Clothing is very fashion based and relies heavily on the youth market, for example colleges, universities and youth clubs, says Prestige.

"Urban clothing is definitely a growing sector in the market. You only need to go into any retail shop or walk down a high street to notice the high demand for urban garments," it says.

Prestige Leisure has added numerous new styles to their 2008 Collection to cope with the level of demand that is expected.

No fashion conscious young person's outfit would be complete without a hoodie, and new for 2008 is the Just Hoods by AWDis brand, which has introduced the JH001 Hoodie. Market leader Jerzees has introduced a range of garments made with amazing softto- touch fabric targeted at this market. The 220M College Tee has a velvet trim on the inside neck and all colours have vanilla coloured stitching. There are five colours available, including Old Navy and Chocolate.

The Skinnifit, Skinnifit for Men and Skinni Mini collections all have a stylish urban feel with the SFM65 Cargo trousers available in Sand and Black in sizes S to 3XL, with the ST65 ladies alternative also available.

Also available specifically for the ladies is the MA63 Women's Pull-on Hoodie by Mantis. This hoodie is unbrushed French terry and has shaped side seams and comes in four colours including Raspberry.

Wombat's interesting urban range includes the WB168 Girls Pinjarra Top, which carries the Fairtrade mark. With it's low cut neck, deep sleeve cuffs and rouched hem it's a very feminine and cool look, available in Blue Diamond and Mocha.

Any urban outfit would be incomplete without a cap. Beechfield's B31 Half Mesh Camouflage cap comes in 3 colours Desert, Jungle and Urban and would look great on guys and girls, says Prestige Leisure.
