Label producer Kwiktapes will launch its new Iron- and Sew-on combined label, at this year's Printwear & Promotion Exhibition.
The woven label has been tested and approved by Inter-tek Laboratories to Marks & Spencer Plc Specification under ISO 9000, NADCAP, ISO17025 and on to ‘GxP' (Good Laboratory or Manufacturing under ISO Practice).
"This will revolutionise the name tape industry, avoiding customers having to send away for sew on labels by producing them at point of sale," said the company.
Kwiktapes has also developed a Peel and Stick label for use on plates and crockery, which is oven proof, dishwasher proof, and microwave proof. Following a successful trial at Birmingham City Council, which used them to identify plates and crockery used for Halal food, the label is now being used throughout Birmingham schools.
