Trade only wholesaler Absolute Apparel had introduced the Stedman range to its 2008 catalogue, which is renowned for the quality of its ring-spun cotton.
Absolute Apparel director Frank Jheinga said: "We are delighted to be able to bring Stedman to our customers this year. Their soft ring-spun cotton has to be handled to appreciate the difference between these garments and the average open-end cotton styles currently available."
The catalogue has been made smaller this year, based on feedback from customers, said Jheinga.
"Feedback from our customers has shown that they prefer us to offer them a smaller choice which covers all of their needs without causing confusion," he said.
"The Absolute Apparel catalogue is a capsule collection including our own brand, as well as selected garments from Fruit of the Loom, Gildan and now Stedman. Pack and single prices are a thing of the past for us."
Absolute Apparel has also launched two new point-of-sale display units for garment decorators. The units, which are available in two styles, will each hold up to 40 garments but only occupy only about one square metre of floor space.
This makes them ideal for the smaller showroom, explained Jheinga: "Our customers have a need to display a large number of garment styles and colours as effectively as possible, sometimes in a restricted space, so we decided to source display units to help them. A stocked unit forms a good basic business unit in its own right and we anticipate that it will be popular in outlets which have not previously sold leisurewear, as well as with our existing customers."
