Something for the ladies

The growth in size of the Ladieswear section of the UKL brochure gives a very good idea as to how the T-shirt market has changed over the years. Whilst there is still a clearly defined position for unisex garments the biggest trend has been in fit for purpose product, says UKL. The market now has Lady Fit styles, technical and performance styles and fashion styles.

ALO Sports, exclusive in the UK to UKL, encompasses all of the above. The brand creates styles that are equally at home under a jacket in the office, or teamed with technical sweats for the gym. The women's styles include Ts and tanks in performance fabrics all cut to flatter and work with the female form and include anti-microbial finishes. The W3004 T-shirt style is made from a blend of Bamboo and Cotton, Bamboo being naturally anti-microbial and wicking. The men's styles follow the same ethos, exploiting technical fabrics to maximum effect.

Bella, ALO Sports' sister company, specialises in attractive women's styles, manufactured in traditional jersey as well as the company's own 1x1 baby rib. The 1x1 baby rib makes a naturally soft product with its own give and provides the perfect surface for decoration.

Another UKL exclusive is Ayers Rock, which delivers innovative garments aimed at the corporate market. The company's T-shirts include features like the renowned Ayers Rock hidden pocket stitched discreetly into a side seam.

Fruit of the Loom's Lady-Fit range comes in a wide range of styles and colours, from the 61-046-0 Lady Fit Value Weight through to the elegant 61-054-0 Lady-Fit V Neck and 61-024-0 Lady Fit Strap T in it's range of sunshine colours. Fruit of the Loom has also added the 61-001-01 Children's American Heavy to complement the hugely successful 61-208-00 introduced last year.

Presenting 60 colours in its 2000 range, Gildan really does have a colour to suit everyone's need. This year sees the introduction of a new Ladies Fitted T, the 64000L, which comes in 12 feminine shades. Hanes also delivers a wide range of basic and fashion styles for men, women and children, and UKL stocks all the garments in the Hanes 10 / 20 range.

If it's fashion you are after then UKL suggests looking no further than Mantis, Humbugz and Babybugz. Mantis focuses on the fashion forward adult whilst Humbugz takes care of the children and Babybugz the babies. Over the years Mantis has delivered many innovative styles to the reseller market, says UKL, and its ranges have also been expanded to deliver Organic products.

The Jerzees Colours range from Russell Europe has a wide range of T-Shirts, from the standard ZT160 and ZT180 / ZT180B through to the fashion driven vintage styles and this year's latest additions based on collegiate wear.

Finally, T's for tots. Baby Basics was one of the first brands to respond to the ever-growing baby wear market. Produced in a great range of bright and pastel colours, Baby Basics T shirts include long and short sleeved styles as well as popper necks to save tiny ears.
