Midwest has been given sole UK distribution rights to the new ‘ecofriendly’ Happy HCR series of embroidery machines, which it says are so cutting edge they are flying out the door.
Thanks to a feature which automatically shuts the machine down (or ‘parks’ it) when not in use, Midwest claims the Happy HCR uses 50% less electricity than its predecessor.
“Everything revolves around high output and low energy,” said Dean Goodwin of Midwest. “On top of that, the HCR offers soft stitch technology for a better stitch; is lighter and more compact; and ultimately saves you money.”
The HCR machines have a continuous dialogue with the PC, giving the embroiderer a complete picture of what is going on at all times, and also read USB memory sticks, unlike some other machines.
“We have sold 37 machines in two months,” said Goodwin. “They are literally flying out the door.”
Other features of the HCR series include a full pictorial help menu inside the monitor and an ‘auto maintenance’ function where the machine re-sets itself after a problem, eliminating the need to call out an engineer.
It also offers a new thread control system, which combines the thread break sensor and the thread tension control, as well as a range of standard functions such as automatic colour change and low noise operation – again, adding to its ‘eco-friendly’ status.
A narrower cylinder arm makes it easier to embroider on difficult areas such as pockets, sleeves and legs.
