Its principal aim is to help those involved in the production of printing to successfully manage the transition from analogue to digital production processes for both colour and black and white production on any platform.

In the UKDP forum printers can discuss a diverse range of topics such as: what is the best production device for their business; how best to market their printing company; how to sell digital print; or whether it's best to buy or lease digital printers. Other topics could include technology issues; moving into web to print; customer relationships; MIS; how to attract better staff; or pitfalls or pratfalls – basically, anything to do with digital printing.

Membership is not sector specific and is open to everybody involved in the business of printing. “Whether you’re a litho printer, an in-house reprographics department, a screen printer or grand format printer, mailing house, designer, or a sign maker – UKDP is the place to discuss industry related topics and to give and receive impartial advice that will help you to move your business forward,” said its developers.

UKDP is 100% independent and does not seek to represent the industry nor does it act as a trade association or a publication.
