Erbé of France, a specialist in machinery for use in textiles manufacturing, has launched a new high-tech linking machine and is now seeking European distributors.
The machine features a detection camera and a computer, and boosts productivity by 50%, claimed Erbé, while also ensuring zero-defect quality.
“The automatic linking machine enhances productivity by 50% compared to conventional systems,” said Erbé, “and uses a unique, patented process to detect the loops to be assembled. A white fluorescent thread is integrated into the knit and revealed as a blue-tinged line under UV light to eliminate tedious preparation on the bodkins.”
The computer works with the detection camera to calculate in real time the displacement of the knit and the needle. And its multi-gauge capacity, which ranges from three to sixteen (or more), enables switching from one yarn thickness to another in just a few clicks – eliminating the need to change the machine for each gauge.
It is simple to use, added Erbé, as operators require just a few hours of training and only need to present the knitting to the machine and then perform the final unlinking. The machine also has an Internet portal to support remote assistance, as well as applications in other fields, such as optical fibre assembly.
Erbé, which is based near Lyons, in south-eastern France, specialises in machinery for use in textiles manufacturing. It is now looking for distributors in Europe.
