With 27 years of experience as the UK’s number one digital transfer specialists, Xpres continues to introduce exciting new products to its advanced line of sublimation technology.
A combination of low set-up and consumable costs represents the chance to produce shorter runs of personalised clothing, promotional products and photo gifts quickly and profitably, it says.
Introduced to the European market more than 25 years ago, the use of sublimation has dramatically increased within the personalisation industry following continual research and development, says Xpres. The process itself allows users to imprint a design or image onto products with a polymer-base or coating. Artwork is designed or scanned into your computer and reversed to produce a mirror image. The design is then printed using sublimation ink onto sublimation transfer paper and heat applied to the receptive product such as a coated mug, using the relevant heat press.
Xpres’ own brand of sublimation ink, Subli-Print, is now supplied in bottles for use with a feeder system available for the Epson R1800 and the Professional 4880. “This method of printing is extremely cost-effective, substantially reducing the price of a transfer,” it claims.
Xpres manufactures and supplies high quality Tshirts and polo shirts specifically designed for use with a sublimation transfer system. “Tailored from a unique blend of polyester/cotton, the Subli-T range provides a superior printing surface with permanent and high-performing results.Wash after wash your transfer will remain flawless, retain stretchiness and stay resistant to cracking and fading.” Available in both adults and kids sizes, the range also incorporates a women’s fit V-neck Tshirt and pique polos.
A comprehensive range of promotional products such as mugs, coasters, mousemats, awards and plaques was further extended for 2007 with a number of innovative gifts. The popular Subli-bag range now includes a beach/leisure bag in a choice of colours in addition to new styles of wallets and purses etc.
Full colour photography can additionally be applied to the range of high quality rhodium plated pendants and metal key rings using a sublimation system.
Xpres says its hottest new products are found in the Photoluxe Panels range – unique frameless panes to which full colour photography can easily be applied with clear, flawless finishes. These make ideal gifts or mementos and the range incorporates an arch-top hinged pair; flat-top easel back; arch-top easel back; and wall mounting panels, available in an assortment of sizes.
Xpres adds: “A combination of low capital investment and a huge range of consumables make sublimation a must for all businesses involved in personalisation.”
