As 2007 draws to a close, looking back it has been an interesting and eventful year for PROMOTA.
2007 started with an extremely successful PROMOTA show. The show itself was warmly received by all and around 1,000 distributors had the opportunity to meet with over 160 supplier members exhibiting over the two days.We eagerly anticipate that our members will show as much support for the 2008 International PROMOTA show in February.
Also this year, the PROMOTA Bulletin, a leading bi-monthly magazine for membership, news and views, was re-launched in, according to the many complimentary comments that I have received, a more readable and interesting format.
Towards the end of the year the association also had a well attended AGM and, thanks to Steve Massingham and one or two others, a lively debate on the future direction of the Association.
Lastly, with the incredible commitment of PROMOTA member Bryan Mathieson and in association with the children’s charity Sparks, we held a very successful celebrity golf day and raised over £10,000 for the charity. Ultimately I would like to thank everyone involved with PROMOTA over the year for their help in pushing the association forward and increasing its relevance to the industry. I look forward to seeing what 2008 will hold for us.
