Drew Brady is part of the Ruia group, which covers the import, supply and distribution of household textiles, hosiery and other garments to retailers, wholesalers, hospitality and healthcare organisations. Formed in 1997, the Workforce and Leisurewear division provides polo shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts and thermals, offering stock garments in a vast range of colours in the key styles at stock levels to suit any customer.
A commitment to stock levels and service ensures that Workforce customers receive the right product at the right time, says Drew Brady’s Workforce and Leisurewear director Ian Lomas. “Supplying high quality uniform and leisurewear at competitive prices, “available when required” is the workforce mantra,” he states. “The most commonly required styles offer 100% service levels and guaranteed next day delivery of consistent quality products at competitive prices. This is supported by our total dedication to first class customer service.”
Workforce aims to totally focus on the key styles and colours required in the marketplace and ensure that it offers an excellent value product and the best in customer care. “We offer products that are high in quality yet fairly priced,” says Lomas, “and we use the ability to focus on these items to ensure our customers can have total confidence in our product and service.” And to ensure consistency throughout the product range, Drew Brady sources only from a limited number of factories.
The weights of the garments are in the mid range and the quality of make is of a high standard, says Lomas. In addition, the sweatshirt fabric is particularly soft to the touch providing a comfortable, luxurious feel. The sizes offered across the range are from XS to 5XL in most instances.
Items in the range are: The Workforce Polo Shirt, with short sleeves, durable twin needle stitch finished shoulders and sleeve join and taped neckline. It also has ribbed collar and cuffs and a three button placket with self coloured buttons. The 65% polyester/ 35% cotton 220gsm shirt is available in a range of colours.
The Workforce Premium Quality T-shirt, in 200gsm 100% cotton, features short sleeves; a luxury weight and feel; tubular body construction; ribbed collar; and quality seam finishing.
There is also the Workforce Megaweight Sweatshirt with set in sleeves; luxury weight and feel; ribbed collar, cuffs and welt; quality seam finishing throughout; taped back neck. Sizes are from S-5XL in a range of colours.
The Workforce Fleece Jacket, meanwhile, is made of a 300gsm fine fleece antipill fabric with zip fastening kangaroo style pockets. It has a concealed drawstring waist for comfort and sizes range from S-5XL in four colours: navy, black, bottle and royal (4XL & 5XL only in black, navy and royal).
Workforce also provides a selection of thermal under garments, and socks specifically designed to be worn with steel toecaped boots and Wellingtons.
“Whilst not the cheapest in the marketplace the product is certainly high in value terms when quality and weight of fabric is taken into consideration alongside the stitch work and finishin,” says Lomas. He describes the customer as the company’s “oxygen”.
“From the moment the phone is answered the customer’s requirement comes under our total focus to ensure that we meet or exceed their expectations,” he explains. ”The customer needs to have the confidence that what they want will be delivered when they want it – and in a marketplace where this given is often not achieved we are totally focused on delivering that simple requirement.”
