The Henbury range lends itself well to many sporting activities, and a popular choice for sports such as sailing is the Classic Henbury Pique Polo Shirt. In 100% cotton it is comfortable as well as durable, says Henbury. “Team it with the navy chino shorts (H605), which are Teflon coated, and you are off to a flying start,” it says.
Layering it with the H830/850 not only allows for plenty of sponsorship opportunities, adds Henbury, but also keeps the wearer warm and wicks away the moisture from all the hard sailing. All styles are available with a ladies fit equivalent.
For golfwear Henbury offers high quality Polo Shirts, with the classic 100% cotton Polo Shirt available in 33 colours as well as in a ladies version – offering a traditional, sophisticated look for the executive golfer. The long sleeve version is also ideal for colder weather.
There is also the poly/cotton blend Polo Shirt H400 for men and H401 for ladies, with moisturewicking and easy-care qualities. These are available in 20 colours and with the Henbury Stand-Up Collar, which retains its shape through any golfing season.
Henbury claims the new Broad-Stripe Polo Shirt (H164) will “get the serious golfer excited” – in 100%, 225gsm ring-spun cotton, this will set any outfit off to a tee, it says. Other golfing options include the Herringbone (H200),Waffle Knit Pique (H232), Marl Polo with contrast jacquard collar (H260) and all over jacquard (H262). Tiger Woods is the inspiration behind the company’s vibrant red H163 Polo Shirt with contrast binding and quarter zip powder blue Polo (H162).
Henbury adds: “The short-sleeved and long sleeved stretch cotton poplin is the solution for any business looking to come up trumps on the course, with elastane allowing for flexibility in the golf swing for a perfect performance every time.”
To keep warm Henbury recommends the microfleece jacket in men’s and ladies’ versions. It says the densely packed fibres offer a great wind resistance, which is ideal for the chillier weather on the course. All fleece garments are made from a soft yet resilient 100% polyester-micro fibre fabric, which gives as much warmth-retaining properties but without the bulk or weight of heavier fleeces, says Henbury. Anti-pill surfaces ensure bobble-free garments wash after wash, retaining shape; colour and easy care laundering properties such as tumble drying. The microfleece jackets can also be zipped into Henbury’s Shower Proof Jacket, which is lightweight and available in ladies’ and men’s versions.
