Valerie Anne Leisure Ltd (VAL) was established in 1993 and combines 75 years’ experience in transfer manufacture for the promotional merchandise industry. As a productive PROMOTA member, VAL continues to grow, becoming stronger and wiser thanks to its traditional family values.
Proud of its reputation for excellent quality, fast turnaround, good customer service, and confidentiality, VAL caters to a wide range of customers – from sole traders dealing with small orders to blue chip clients and large corporate orders.
The company has recently developed a ‘green’ transfer, which is available for use on a wide variety of products and garments, and special low temperature transfers for fabrics such as Nylon, or pastel colours that have a low heat tolerance. Md Vernon Bradshaw says: “We always strive to be at the cutting edge of the industry, and have pioneered new technologies and ideas, ever since I invented the foil transfer in 1975, which you can still see in use on designs to this day.”
He adds: “Everything we do and use in the manufacture, and application of our transfers is as environmentally friendly as we can make it. Our adverts for some time now have stated that ‘all the colours we print are as ‘green as can be’. We lean to green in a big way as we care about the products we use, and what we sell to our customers. As part of this direction we are now in our fourth year as a quality assured firm with ISO 9001.We no longer use potentially dangerous solvents traditionally used in screen printing. Our PVC- and phthalate-free transfers are also lead- and other heavy metals-free in accordance with safety standards.”
How a product is made and what it is made of forms a significant part of its environmental impact. VAL takes great care to ensure that none of the materials, chemical substances or processes it uses are detrimental to the environment. At VAL, customers are constantly encouraged to choose products that do as little damage to the environment as possible.
