The Quayside Group has bought the assets of SAF UK Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of ethical and organic clothing. SAF offers quality organic clothing, which is traceable back to the farm where it is produced, and contributes directly to the sustainable development of the farming communities, said the group.
It supplies to a number of leading screen printers, promotional companies and private labels, and previously supplied end users such as Greenpeace and Timberland.
Michael Conway, Quayside md, said: “Organic clothing is great for the environment and great for the customer. It is a rapidly expanding market and we intend to make SAF the leading organic clothing brand in the UK.We will improve customer service by increasing stock levels and ensuring faster delivery times.”
The Quayside Group is one of the UK’s fastest growing distributors of promotional clothing. During 2006 Quayside moved to a new distribution centre in Manchester’s Trafford Park.
In addition to SAF, the group distributes JHK, Fan Shirt, Stedman, Hanes and Northquay products.
