The new fabric uses 100% cotton facing, which is designed to deliver superior wash and wear performance.

The garments underwent extensive wearer trials before being brought to market and the feedback from customers has confirmed the garments’ quality and durability credentials, says the company.

The construction of the next-generation fleece helps to minimise pilling, so the sweatshirts stay looking smart throughout their lifetime. The smooth, tight knit 100% cotton facing also provides an ideal surface for decoration. This means that decorators’ work is shown to its best effect, and embroidered and printed school names and crests retain their ‘new appearance’ for longer.

“We are preparing to service the continued growth in demand for our next-generation Kids Sweats – the Raglan, Set-In and Hooded, in particular – as more schools witness and appreciate the long-term performance and value that they have to offer,” says brand manager Alison Woodvine.

The Kids Raglan and Set-In Sweats use 260gsm polyester/cotton fabric. Each style is available in 11 colours (13 in total, covering all the core schools colours), and in sizes 3/4 years to 14/15 years. The Jog Pants, Hooded and Zip Through Hooded Sweats are made in heavier weight 280gsm polyester/cotton, and are available in sizes ranging from 5/6 years to 14/15 years. All styles are also available in adult sizes to cater for larger pupils, as well as teaching staff and school employees.
