Naturally it can cost more to farm this way, but Rowlinson hopes that by introducing a new ethically sound product to its range it is allowing customers to make a choice about what they want to wear. “Not only are these products making a positive contribution to the environment, but also we anticipate the there will be a benefit to allergy sufferers who may prefer products which are not treated with chemicals and are therefore kinder to the skin,” adds the company.

The Roganic polo shirt is specially packaged in 100% recycled material and Rowlinson would actively encourage its customers to again recycle the material in turn.

The body fabric is 200gsm and is 100% organic grown cotton. The fabric is a plain knit jersey and it is available only in white, although there has been no bleaching in the process.

The knit and handle of this garment is superior to many others on the market, claims Rowlinson. It is heavier, softer and it will impart warmth. It also has a clean knitted appearance while maintaining all the inherent benefits of cotton, including its wickability.
