The tipped polo shirt is the brand’s signature piece. Since it was launched into the market place in 2002 through Ayers Rock’s sole UK distributor UK Leisurewear, sales have catapulted, said the company.

Its continuous year on year sales growth is based on breaking into new markets and 2007 saw another significant move, this time into the equestrian world.

“Fiona and her back-up team are long standing supporters of Ayers Rock so when the opportunity arose to back Fiona with sponsorship we positively leaped at the chance!” said Ayers Rock.

“Hobby Sport Horse (www.hobbysporthorse.co.uk) is one of many equestrian based businesses that have decided to make the tipped polo shirt part of their corporate identity since we started in this field in late 2006. Indeed, such is the success we are now looking forward to launching and promoting other suitable articles of clothing into the equestrian arena over the coming months.”

The tipped polo shirt is smart, presentable, made to extremely high standards and delivers excellent performance within the working environment, said Ayers Rock.

It added: “Our team of designers came up with the quirky but functional concept of putting a concealed side seam zipped pocket into the garment, and as a consequence the Ayers Rock ‘polo with the pocket’ was born.”

More colours would be added to the range for 2008, available through UK Leisurewear, it said.
