Pulse unveils the ‘next generation of embroidery software’
Pulse Microsystems has released the Tajima DG/ML by Pulse Edition X2 – the next generation of embroidery design and production tools, available through AJS Embroidery
Published:  01 September, 2007

Edition X2 (pronounced x-square) has a new way to create a more efficient production process using its Machine Clustering capabilities. Now, users can define a group of machines, single or multihead as a cluster and send designs automatically to machines associated with that cluster.

The Elements feature lets users create mini-designs within larger designs while digitising, and later use them to create new designs with ease. Elements also makes it easy to select hundreds of individual segments all in an instant. Along with its productivity enhancing features, Edition X2 offers 25 new standard fonts that embroiderers can use in designs, logos, team jerseys and many other projects. Automatic Overlaps feature will be a boon to digitisers as it automates a task that is done manually, creating overlaps for intersecting segments to account for fabric pull – making perfect sewing a step easier, says the company.

“Today’s embroiderers need tools that give them greater creativity and business efficiency,” says Brian Goldberg, president of Pulse Microsystems. “Edition X2 lets them advance to where embroidery technology is heading in the future. With features like Machine Clustering, Advanced Reporting and Automatic Overlaps, plus our many innovative tools, embroiderers will find it easy to do more things, quicker.”

The release of Edition X2,which is compatible with Windows® Vista, offers many productivity enhancements and simplified ways to create and transform complex designs. The following optional features will also be available for Edition X2:

  • Auto Boring Tools. These tools simplify the way high quality designs are created using a boring device. Choose from any of the cut line patterns – ellipses, triangles and squares – and have shapes automatically bored out from a design as a hole. Easily creates embroidery designs with stunning lacelike effects.
  • Standalone Advanced Reporting. These reporting capabilities can be used to find out exactly when thread breaks occur; keep better track of orders; and get daily productivity summaries for every machine. The ability to view reports over the Internet gives users the freedom to access reports from any location they choose and make more informed production decisions.
AJS Embroidery, now the UK Tajima distributor, says: “With software availability in 17 languages and distribution in over 100 countries, Pulse is a leading global presence in the embroidery industry. With over 25 years of experience and the best development and support team in the industry, the Pulse name has become synonymous with quality and excellence. Edition X2 is the latest cutting edge version of Tajima DG/ML by Pulse and is a testament to Pulse’s commitment to development and innovation.”

AJS Embroidery Services Ltd is available to help with any customer care issues which Pulse Signature customers may experience, and can help with any aspect of Pulse software having over seven years’ experience distributing Pulse products from V.9 to the latest X2. AJS can advise on all update and upgrade options and prices and can also tailor any specific training requirements.

Ambassador

It also highlights a service for modifying the size and density of designs with speed, ease, and accuracy. Ambassador is a program that modifies designs saved as Pulse design files and other formats, making minor changes to designs easier.

Ambassador allows digitisers who use Pulse embroidery design products to provide a value-added service to their customers: they can provide Pulse design files (PXF or POF) while Ambassador provides reliable conversion to popular machine formats when minor changes such as density or size are required. “Now, your customers can make changes to the size and density themselves quickly and easily,” says AJS. “People will spend less time converting designs to meet customer requirements since they avoid the use of less reliable conversion and export formats. With this kind of benefit, customers will ask for files in Pulse format so that they can make simple changes in-house. Digitisers using Pulse embroidery design systems are already positioned to provide this service.” The new Pulse Outline technology has been specially designed with built-in compression that makes PXF files ideal for transfer over the Internet.
