Towards the end of last year Aisin Europe UK, the distributor of the Toyota Embroidery machines, introduced the latest version of the ESP range of machines – the ESP9100Net and ESP9106Net, 15 and 6-colour machines respectively.
Aisin UK says it has noticed an increase in embroidered personalisation of clothes and accessories this year, particularly for football boots – a trend started by David Beckham and followed by many other players.
With this in mind, Aisin UK adapted a clamp to suit this type of work. Wilcom software also has a product on its ES21L to help with quick lettering called ‘team names’.
Also appearing to gain in popularity is the personalisation of carpets and mats, says Alan Cartwright of Aisin UK. “This has increased in many market sectors with the use of our heavy duty clamp systems, which are available in automatic and manual versions.”
He adds: “There is also a trend for decoration with cording, boring and sequins using the Toyota ESP9100Net.We have noticed our uptake in these attachments has increased by 100% over the same period as last year.”
