In recent years public awareness of ethically sound products has been heightened. Consumer buying habits have changed, with more people choosing to shop for Fairtrade products. Individuals are now doing their bit to try and stabilise the long term future of our planet.
The first efforts were made in the food retail market, but ethically sound clothing is now generating much interest from consumers. With this rise in interest, Ralawise offers customers a choice of organic and Fairtrade styles.
The Okarma range of clothing was launched at the start of 2007, providing GM free, 100% certified organic cotton products to the market. Ralawise says much interest has been shown in the brand. The OK010 Men’s Organic Tee and female equivalent OK011 Women’s Organic Tee are each available in seven colours. Both tees have taped rib neck and twin needle stitching at the neck, sleeves and hem. The OK020 Unisex Organic Polo Shirt is also available in seven colours and sizes small to XXL.
Wombat has three Fairtrade certified styles in its range this year. The WB165 Girls Airlie Top is a halter neck style available in aqua and custard with contrast shoestring ties and a fake wrap front. The WB162 Girls Tissica Tee has a v-neck with central ruche, faux bikini insert and contrast printed straps and is available in seasurf and turkish delight. And the WB158 Girls Noosa Vest is a double layer reversible vest with twisted shoulders, twin needling at hem and double raw edges at hem and neck.
