Saf has been supplying organic cotton clothing to the promotional market in the UK for almost two years now and says it has seen the demand for organic cotton grow consistently over that period.
“Products which were once considered to be very ‘fringe’ are now moving into the mainstream, albeit a niche in the mainstream,” it says. “The promotion of organic cotton by high street brands and household names such asTesco, Topshop and Nike has lead to growing awareness among buyers. This has translated itself into increased demand in the promotional sector, although the key buyers still remain environmental groups and campaigns, universities, music groups and festivals, and organic brands.”
Saf, as a Soil Association certified wholesaler of organic cotton garments, says it has been well positioned to take advantage of this growth. Its range includes women’s and men’s t-shirts, children’s garments and adult sweatshirts and hooded jackets.
