Very much a bespoke manufacturer

Balmoral Knitwear is very much a bespoke manufacturer, with a very large part of production being devoted to bespoke styles for schoolwear, corporatewear, promotions, cricket and retail brands.

“We have UK production and we also have off-shore partners for bulk deliveries,” says Mike Carden, from Balmoral’s sales and marketing office in Cumbria.

Recent bespoke styles organised by Mike and colleague Ian Pollard have included:

• Zip-neck sweaters in club colours.
• Scarves, beanies and bobble hats in bespoke designs and shades for school uniform suppliers.
• Bus company pullovers with striped trim in the corporate colourway.
• Bulk delivery of transport company sweaters for corporatewear companies.
• Bulk delivery of lightweight cardigans in a special shade for a high street retailer as corporatewear.
• Fairisle sweaters for a retail brand.
• Corporate Christmas sweaters with the design knitted into the front.
• Cricket sweaters with a private school’s colours in the trim.
• Heavyweight cable sweaters for a trendy brand.

In addition, Mike and Ian are preparing for the new school year and the great array of bespoke styles for back-to-school 2018.
