MHM Direct GB opened its new training facility and showroom to screen printers last month.
Work on the purpose-built building began last July and comprises of four rooms where visitors can hone their screen printing skills and seek advice from industry experts.
Within the main room sits MHM’s iQ Oval Press and Tesoma’s Drylight gas dryer. Offset from the main room are the ink kitchen, the Brother DTG Studio and an amber light-safe screen room.
Managing director, John Potter, said one of the reasons MHM has invested nearly £1m into the showroom and training facility was because of a distinct lack of training available for new operators coming into the industry.
He added: “By opening up our training facility we aim to give something back to the industry, by putting skills back into the market. We hope that screen printers will use this facility along with our expert knowledge to their advantage and send their new recruits to us to be trained before starting out in their print shop.”
In due course a series of organised training sessions, including guest appearances by industry leading figures, will be announced.
