The second Merchandise World was held in The Wing at Silverstone Racetrack on January 31 and February 1.
A total of 1,019 visitors met with the 172 exhibitors during the two-day exhibition. A strict visitor policy was enforced to ensure that only quality professional distributors were admitted to meet with the exhibitors.
A high number of business leaders, together with their front-line teams attended to see the latest and hottest promotional products for the coming year.
Richard Pettinger, of Ignite Incentives Group, said: “Just returned from Merchandise World, from what is now clearly the premier industry show in the UK. So good to see all the top suppliers coming together and fantastic to see the response from quality visitors turning out in large numbers and bringing so many of their sales teams. I don’t think I have ever seen so many of the top distributor companies in the one place. Couple that with some really interesting seminars and we have a magnificent new addition to the calendar. Well done to all involved for superb organisation.”
Merchandise World is a unique concept which combines a traditional exhibition, a networking event and (optional) appointment booking.
Exhibition organiser, Ella Long, said: “Our expectations were high, and based on the fabulous feedback we got from visitors and exhibitors alike the event surpassed everyone’s expectations. What could be better than quality visitors spending time with quality suppliers, that simply means great business opportunities for all.”
Exhibitor, Phil Roberts of Fanela said: “Merchandise World was the best show I have personally done, and I have been in the trade many years. Each day was exceptional – lots of clients / potential clients to see and all of good quality. There was a real buzz about the whole event and the organisation was faultless.”
The next Merchandise World will take place on September 12 at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre. This will then be followed by another Merchandise World in The Midlands next January 2019.
