Major developments in 2019

GS UK has a long and successful history of supplying machinery and supplies to the embroidery, direct to garment printing and laser cutting industries.

2019 looks set to be another exciting year for GS UK with major developments in their Merlin Pro embroidery machine range.

Merlin Pro Embroidery Machines

New for 2019 will be GS UK’s most recent developments to their Merlin Pro industrial embroidery machine range.

The new GS1506 machine is a six-head machine with 15 needles while the new GS1504 machine is a four-head machine with 15 needles. Both machines have a stitching speed of 1,000spm and a large touch screen to access the Merlin Controller Software which allows the user to select frame size, input colours, control stitching speeds and many other functions related to the running of the machine.

In addition it also comes complete with the Monogram Maestro Software, a powerful lettering and editing package which offers 56 fonts and 230 stock designs.

These new 15 needle machines will offer an alternative choice to the existing GS1206 and GS1204 – 12 needle machines. All of the Merlin Pro machines include a selection of frames and a wide angle Cap systems for embroidering onto Caps.

In addition to the Merlin Pro machines, GS UK also supplies the Brother PR embroidery machines.

The PR670E is a compact embroidery machine ideal for both home and business alike. It includes a 300x200mm embroidery area, 10.1in LCD touch screen, 37 built-in fonts and 640 built in designs.

It achieves an industrial level acceleration, reaching its maximum embroidery speed in just seven seconds, comparable to industrial embroidery machines. The flexibility and versatility of the Brother PR670E and the 10 needle alternative the PR1050X means both machines can be a valuable addition to any embroiderer.

Brother Tape Creator Pro

The Brother Tape Creator Pro is a new, personalised ribbon and adhesive tape printing solution.

It creates personalised ribbons and tapes in moments. Using thermal transfer technology it can rapidly print single colour logos and messages onto premium quality fabric ribbons or adhesive tapes.

Simply connect to your PC to select the pre-designed templates or create your own using Brother’s P-Touch Editor Software. Print ribbon and tape lengths from one to 66 metres. Ribbon rolls are available in 15mm or 38mm widths and adhesive tape in 38mm and 50mm widths, both offer a range of colour and ink combinations.

Ethos embroidery software

The yearly version update of the Ethos software will be released during 2019 and is set to include numerous new features and fonts.

A new slicer tool will allow users to split up areas of stitches and separate a shape into multiple sections.

The Ethos software is available in various levels from design storage systems, editing and lettering packages through to powerful digitising software. The Ethos Software is developed in the UK and all systems come complete with training and one year of software support.

Direct to garment printing

In addition to the exciting new embroidery machine and software developments, GS UK also remains a strong force within the area of direct to garment printing.

The team’s many years of experience selling Brother DTG printers from the original GT541 printer through to the Brother GTX means they have a wealth of knowledge.

This ensures they can offer the best advice, training and support when supplying the latest Brother GTX printer. Combined with the Digital Factory Apparel Software by CADLink, Schulze Pre-treatment Maker IV machine and heat press a full print production setup can be offered.
