Wouldn’t it be great to have a printer that will print onto just about any surface and any product? Well, you can have exactly that with the Compress iUV600s and iUV1200s machines from Your Embroidery Services Ltd (YES Ltd).
The iUV 600s has been around now for about a year and, in that time, has established itself as a market leader in this area of technology. This machine prints in CMYK + white and clear so not only is any product fair game but so is any colour. It uses a 1440 nozzle print head capable of delivering a minimum picolitre drop of just 3.5Ng for ultra-fine dot placement. When combined with six colours of CMYK, white and clear the resulting print is vibrant and pin sharp and easily up to (and in many cases beyond) the standard of larger and more expensive machines. It has a maximum print area of 604mm wide by 450mm long (A2) with an adjustable media height of 300mm – the largest media height of any machine in its class. It’s no slouch either with production speeds of up to 30.5 metres per hour. Just think how many promotional items you could print with a print area and speeds like this at your fingertips. That alone would offer numerous advantages but take into consideration that, as it is digital, each item can be individually personalised and you can immediately see the attraction of this amazing machine. The CMYK ink is delivered via a pressurised 250ml tank, thus giving a constant feed, while the white ink benefits from the unique WIMS (White Ink Management System). This pressurises and recirculates the white ink via a filter which results in less downtime as well as fewer white ink related problems which, in turn, means lower maintenance and higher production. The Compress iUV range also uses bespoke firmware called iQ Interweave. This forces the machine to print in a wave form as opposed to the straight lines usually associated with ink jet printing. The result is a higher quality print even at lower resolutions. Even the dreaded banding, a common sight where low resolution printing is concerned, is banished. All of this comes in an amazingly small package. At just 1270mm wide x 550mm high x 980mm deep this is not a machine that demands a lot of space yet it can handle a high workload and gives production figures that are beyond reasonable.
So, how much do you need to invest to benefit from this advanced technology? Well the price matches the overall dimension of the machine as it has been set at a level to impress even the most frugal of buyers.
Now let’s take a look at the iUV1200s. This won’t take long as this model is simply a larger version of the iUV 600s. It benefits from all of the same technology encased in a bigger unit. With similar production figures this machine has a larger print area allowing you to expand your production and customer base even further. Both of these machines could easily fit into most businesses. Increasing flexibility and allowing for a reduction in stock investment. More importantly though, it would give a whole new product and production arm to a business and, these days, that can be the difference between survival and expansion.
