Vinyl cut or screen printing?

Q) Derek. Do you think one is better than the other?

A) Vinyl is such an easy product to work with. So many companies start out with it and grow their business. So it is great. It performs well for short runs but becomes labour intensive on longer runs. Intricate jobs are a pain. A GOCCOPRO screen print system overcomes objects that would previously put people off traditional screen printing. If you want to print leavers hoodies or halftone artwork then the GOCCOPRO really has the edge over vinyl. A digital screen strait from your computer, ready in 100 seconds. Messy clean ups are gone just pop screens in the bin. I really think it’s so simple.

I remember one of our first customers was producing 800 T shirts a week. He calculated he would save over £250 a week on vinyl costs alone. I’m not up on vinyl cost, I think he was using top quality matt black but that really is some saving.

In conclusion I think both systems work well for specific applications but the sheer flexibility a GOCCOPRO provides would push me down that road.

Q) Have you found vinyl users are turning to the GOCCOPRO?

A) Yes, a lot of them especially for bigger print runs. That weeding does drive people nuts. The ability to print half tone photographic images also brings us customers. This will be our fourth year showing at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! The first year we had a massive amount of interest but people thought it was too good to be true and didn’t buy. The second year we had a few adventurous people who really jumped in. Last year was even better as confidence grew in the trade. What’s amazing is the number of people phoning me up this January before the show and wanting to come to our factory for a demo. 2016 is going to be a very busy year!
