The jump between desktop sheet fed sublimation printers and large format reel to reel is a big one. With no middle ground in the textile dye sublimation market Resolute is set to launch the R-Jet CS at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2016.
Based on Resolute’s custom built MiniFB platform also used in the joint venture with EXILE Technologies FREEStyler, direct to screen system, the R-Jet CS opens up the market for larger dye sublimation users who want to print all over images onto either transfer paper or directly onto sublimation fabrics and T shirts. With a print area of 500x600mm the R-Jet CS is capable of printing two T shirts at the same time while allowing for unloading and loading while it prints continuously. Using Resolute’s ISC (intelligent speed control) technology the R-Jet CS print times are blisteringly fast when printing with sublimation inks or pigmented water-based inks for cotton printing.
The picture shows a Russell sublimation T shirt being printed directly with no transfer paper used. Using laser height substrate detection it continuously scans the media being printed and adjusts up and down automatically with a range of 120mm. The standard vacuum bed can hold anything from A4 transfer paper up to a full sra2 transfer sheet including bleed off area. Pin registration TucLoc platens ensure quick loading of T shirts when printed directly
Set to hit the market with a sub £10,000 price tag the multi function R-Jet CS will also be used for direct printing onto packaging and other porous substrates. The process of switching between sublimation and pigmented inks is made simple with its hot swap carriage and takes less than a minute with no flushing or waste.
