Resolute DTG makes a Big Blue splash at ISS Fort Worth Texas

Bigger is better and there’s nothing bigger than the Resolute DTG brand in Europe, recently joining forces with Texan giant Big Blue Enterprises LLC they just got even bigger.

Exhibiting for the first time at the ISS show in their home town Fort Worth Texas, Big Blue Enterprises LLC joined forces with Resolute DTG back in March 2014. Owner Sam Karam and the Big Blue team are no strangers to trade shows, this became very obvious as the sales team confidently demonstrated the R-Jet range to the bulging crowds over the three day show.

The show was a great success, in all the years of trade shows I have worked in different countries I have never met a more open and friendly crowd than in Fort Worth. Until now the USA DTG industry was dominated by most dealer’s selling the same products at the same price. Offering a different machine was obviously a breath of fresh air for the enthusiastic Texans who literally couldn’t get enough of the printers and the cheeky UK accents on the stand! Machine sales made at a trade show are a very positive sign, the amount of business done at the show left no doubt in my mind that Big Blue not only have the reputation but the business skills to successfully support the Resolute brand in the USA.

One obvious advantage over our competitors was the fact we make our own pre-treatment machine. This is something most printer manufacturers shy away from and choose to sell a generic brand. Some sellers were witnessed at the show using archaic methods such as paint brushes and paint rollers to pre-treat shirts on the floor. Anyone with real experience and knowledge in the DTG industry knows this is a recipe for disaster, pre-treatment must be applied correctly or the end result will suffer in more ways than one. The quality of prints Big Blue produced at the show was exceptional and easily outperformed its competitors selling higher priced machines.

Which brings us onto the newest development by Resolute DTG due to launch in a couple of weeks. The Hybrid, printing white ink with no pre-treatment and an attachment to the popular existing R-Jet 5 DTG printers is set to raise the bar for the DTG industry. Volume printing becomes not only faster but more economical when using the R-Jet 5 with the Hybrid attachment. Utilising a standard R-Jet 5 and its patented transport system with a clever stencil process made by the R-Jet 5 allows for a white ink to be used with no pre-treatment at all. Lights or darks, cotton or polyester, metallic and fluorescent inks are all possible with the Hybrid upgrade to the R-Jet 5. The samples shown at the ISS show clearly boosted the sales of the R-Jet 5, branded the BB-5 in the US, with the Hybrid technology just around the corner Big Blue have certainly hit the ground running.
