DST transfer system – The future of transfer printing

Are you looking to expand your business opportunities with new applications to optimise your production and lead time as well as impress your customers? Well look no further the future of transfer printing has arrived today.

Developed in Denmark following extensive research by DST this transfer system is distributed in the UK and Ireland by Yorkshire-based company Global Print Solutions. GPS has been looking for some time to develop a transfer process that would work for small runs as well as large volume and be cost effective and easy to use.

In a world where customers place smaller but more frequent orders and respond more often to changes in designs reflecting trends, local differences and seasons, the demand for high volume expensive runs is decreasing. Designs in CMYK are often not suitable for screen printing and the high volumes needed to make the more usual offset printing viable are often prohibitive.

The DST system combining digital printing with screen-printing is the answer to these challenges producing the high quality full colour photographic images that today’s discerning clients insist upon. The transfers are printed digitally backed up by screen printing DST white ink then curing and then DST adhesive and curing. The transfers are highly durable and have a soft feel and stretch. They can be pressed on to many substrates including jute, non woven, laminate bags, sportswear and workwear.

GPS now has a super soft adhesive powder which has stretch and durability and can be heated pressed as low as 115 ⁰C. It’s amazing.

Isn’t it time you moved your production into the 21st century to ensure your business stays at the top of its game?

A visit to the new showroom and training facility that GPS has close to Sheffield will allow printers to see the DST process first hand.

GPS can also produce sample transfers of your artwork for you to try.
