Uniform provider Grahame Gardner has been named as a UK supplier of market leading anti-embolism stockings FITLEGS.
Grahame Gardner will now sell the FITLEGS compression range as part of its workwear offering and is one of only two external stockists in the country.
The socks, which have been designed and created using the highest quality materials, provide a comfortable and effective leg compression to reduce the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). The socks work by gradually compressing the leg from the ankle upwards, to improve the blood flow to the heart.
Grahame Gardner will provide the FITLEGS Everyday, Life and Sports ranges. The Everyday and Life sock can be worn at work and for travel and the Sport sock is recommended for increasing endurance and reducing muscle fatigue.
Simon Ward, group sales director for Grahame Gardner, said: “We are delighted to be working with FITLEGS to provide UK customers with this innovative product, which we feel really fills a gap in the market.
“Not only are the socks a stylish and very well designed product, but they also have proven health benefits for people looking to reduce the risk of DVT, which will be appealing to those who work in particular professions such as nursing where you are on your feet for a large amount of time.
“We are confident our customers, new and old, will also see the benefits of the FITLEGS stocking, providing a strong addition to our comprehensive range of workwear and uniform options.”
Jiten Barot, marketing manager for Griffiths & Nielsen, manufacturer of the FITLEGS range, said: “As a UK market leader in anti-embolism stockings used by patients, G+N is well aware of how long hours on your feet can leave healthcare professionals with sore feet and aching legs. G+N is delighted to be partnering with Grahame Gardner to utilise our innovative approach and heritage in healthcare to deliver comfort and style to a wider audience, through our retail range of compression stockings. We look forward to building on the partnership to expand the range.”
