Fanela targets further growth thanks to funding

Leicestershire-based Fanela, a garment printing and embroidery business, has utilised a funding facility with Aldermore, the specialist lender and savings bank, allowing the company to invest in new manufacturing machinery.

Fanela was introduced to Aldermore by Causon Business Finance. The funding facility, which is worth £24,800 has helped the company bring in new embroidery and sewing machines to fulfil a variety of orders from both local and international businesses who value the high quality of Fanela’s garment printing and embroidery services.

Artie Pallari, managing director at Fanela, said: “We have observed a massive change in purchasing trends and are seeing a number of high street retailers bringing the production and finishing of garments back to the UK from abroad. With our personalised processes offering off-the-shelf garment labelling and retail packaging, we are well placed to meet the increasing demand. The new machines that we have purchased thanks to the funding from Aldermore will help us to meet this growing demand, and to deliver the high standards that our clients require within tight timescales.”

Richard Causon, partner at Causon Business Finance, said: “Fanela is an impressive business which has come a long way since its inception in the heart of London more than three decades ago. In this time it has grown to become a leading provider to the corporate, promotional and sportswear industries. The new machines that the company has purchased will enable the business to fulfil the contracts that it continues to win across the board, from big apparel companies to smaller local businesses.”

Mike Kilford, business development manager, Asset Finance at Aldermore, said: “Fanela is an inspiring company that has been on a fantastic journey – exactly the kind of business that Aldermore was established to support. The new machines we have funded will help the company to continue its upward trajectory. At Aldermore we pride ourselves in our ability to lend against a wide variety of assets, and our commitment to providing flexible support for our SME customers when they require it.”

Established in London in the 1980s, Fanela has grown to become one of the leading T shirt printers in the country, currently employing around 75 staff.
