Nakedshirt is the latest exclusive brand to arrive at BTC activewear. Visitors to the distributor’s two-day Open House event, held on November 9 and 10 at its premises in Wednesbury, were among the first to see all the new brand has to offer in 2017.

Launched in 2015 on the continent, Nakedshirt specialises in products that are either made from 100% organic cotton, 100% non-organic cotton or 70/30% bamboo/ organic cotton. The result is an easy to wear range of fashionable and retail orientated T shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and more.

At present the range consists of 34 styles available through Falk & Ross in Europe, with 11 new styles being added from January. New products include four sweatshirts (two round neck and two hoodies both in French Terry), six T shirts (two round neck, two vests and two V-necks) in duo styles and a batwing women’s T shirt in melange Tencel/ organic cotton. The entire range of 43 styles will be available exclusively from BTC activewear in January.

Nakedshirt is comparable to Bella+Canvas, Continental Clothing, Earth Positive, Stanley & Stella and Swedish brand Neutral, but the brand comes with its own points of difference which helps to elevate it above its nearest competitors. As Samuel Verheyde, sales project manager, explains: “It is the finishing, the quality of the fabric and the additional detailing that makes this brand stand out above its competitors in the marketplace.”

To make it easy for the decorator to identify between male and female products, the label in the female products sits on the left and on the right in the male. And to tell the difference between organic and non-organic products, the text on the organic label is green and on the non-organic label the text is black. The range is also completely tagless to make rebranding as easy as possible.

The most appropriate decoration method for this brand is screen printing or digital printing, because the surface is smooth, porous and has no impurities which improves the quality of the print.

According to Samuel, 80% of the collection is available in black and white, with the best-selling products available in a wide variety of colours. One of the more popular products on the continent is the regular round-neck. “This is very popular and always sells well. It is available in lots of colours – more than what the nearest competitors offer,” adds Samuel.

The new brand is being aimed at end-users who take an interest in their image. For example, promotional agencies, event hosts, hairdressers, beauty salons, online fashion brands etc.

Children are not left out with this brand, for Nakedshirt also offers two kids styles in 100% cotton – a 100% cotton girly T shirt and a 100% organic cotton round neck T shirt.

As this was the first UK viewing of the brand, visitors to BTC activewear’s Open House event were intrigued by the new brand and according to Samuel the range was greeted with positive responses from those who attended.
