David Luke commits to Eco Schools marine topic for 2019

Eco uniform provider David Luke will take further steps to strengthen its sustainability program with a renewed partnership with Eco Schools in 2019.

The collaboration will see David Luke take ownership of Eco School’s new marine topic. Ambitions for the project include working with the schoolwear brand’s collective of youth environmentalists known as ’16 Under 16′ to produce a series of school resources with a plastic pollution and marine focus including lesson plans and engaging assembly formats.

Eco Schools will also leverage the ideas and the vision of a 16 Under 16 Marine Working Group to inform their own in-school activity during the year.

Kathryn Shuttleworth, David Luke’s MD, said: “We see our work with Eco Schools as a vital and unique opportunity to challenge ourselves as a business to take action on a subject matter that young people feel passionately about. As a committed user of recycled polyester in our range, we see great synergy in harnessing the strength of feeling towards plastic pollution to do good from ground level upwards.”
